As in December 2006, this meeting was held at the Chicago Teachers Center of Northeastern Illinois University. Bridget Murphy of the Logan Square Neighborhood Association was the coordinator of logistics with the facility, and Maureen Gillette, the Dean of the NEIU College of Education, was the formal host. The 100 participants came from 15 of the 16 consortia. Jesse Ruiz, the chairman of the Illinois State Board of Education, was a special guest.
